In China, there are more than 35 million people who live on less than 100 Yuan a month, including the 677 residents of the village of Ganyi. Ganyi is located in the mountainous southwestern province of Guizhou, one of the poorest provinces in the country. Please help Oxfam Hong Kong by introducing new stoves and toilets as well as new animal husbandry and farming techniques. This will enable them to generate the income they need. The project is in good progress and the report has been updated.

Most HIV patients in China are impoverished farmers. Ruili, a border town in the far southwest of the country, has one of the highest rates of infection in the country. Many residents in rural areas outside Ruili have little information about HIV. There are few health facilities, and people do not know what to do if they get the disease, and they often do not finish the treatment if they start. Your donation can help provide anti-retroviral (ARV) medicine, health counseling, check-ups, and other support for families, such as an education allowance for children.
