education officer ii (2-year contract, renewable)
The Education Officer II is responsible for the planning and implementation of the offline / digital education initiative on Global Citizenship Education and Public Engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and promotes programmes / workshops / campaigns / materials on global citizenship education and public engagement for various stakeholders, including schools, parent-child, youth and public (i.e. Wide-Life-Learning programme for schools, parent-child workshops and initiatives etc.)
- Implements the interactive education programmes and / or funding projects for underprivileged groups, schools, parent-child, youth and corporates;
- Promotes the works through offline and online channels including social media, eDM, website etc.
- Networks with schools, educational groups, NGOs, cultural organisations, community (parents, underprivileged groups, youth etc.) and other concerned organisations; and to explore and develop potential education programmes.
- Supports development of new initiatives (e.g. making use of digital and innovative element on programme development, educational products etc.), curriculum and learning & teaching materials.
- Produces high-quality deliverables and communicates the work impacts to external stakeholders including public, corporate and foundations.
- Undertakes other functions as assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience on education / social services sector;
- Knowledge on issues of global poverty and sustainable development is preferable;
- Understand of the formal education system with experience in education programme;
- Experience in online and digital initiative preferred;
- Organized and systematic, able to coordinate and work with others, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and outgoing personality.
- Strong problem-solving and ability to be flexible, can work independently and multi-task, meet tight deadlines and be a good team player.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Experience with design and editing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, video editing etc. is a plus.
- Able to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as required.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
