Project Officer (1-year contract)
The Project Officer is responsible for the development and execution of “Oxfam Young Trailwalker Training Program”, a youth engagement program supported by D.H. Chen Foundation. The Program aims to train youth to become young OTW participants and develop a healthy lifestyle and mental well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement the Program, including trailwalker training, challenge days, youth supporting activities, camp and parent activities to ensure the overall outputs with high quality;
- Develop the detailed implementation plan to achieve the goals and KPIs, and the related evaluation and reports;
- Close communicate and liaise with participating youth, parents and other stakeholders including coaches, schoolteachers, ex-OTW participants and volunteers, etc.;
- Develop, coordinate and deliver a wide range of internal and external communications;
- Manage all production, content and budget;
- Plan and develop marketing strategies, activities and materials including but not limited to the areas such as media engagement, website, social media, eDM etc;
- Being host and/or facilitator in the activities;
- Undertakes other functions as assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with 3 years’ relevant working experience on education, youth/sport training, community services, counsellingor related areas. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Project Assistant.
- Knowledge on sport, trail running, hiking or related areas is preferable;
- Experience in project management, youth training or event management is preferred;
- Organised and systematic, able to coordinate and work with others, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and outgoing personality.
- Strong problem-solving and ability to be flexible, can work independently and multi-task, meet tight deadlines and be a good team player.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, and Chinese word processing.
- Willing to work outdoor, and able to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as required.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
