Oxfam hosts annual large-scale fundraising events like Oxfam Trailwalker, Oxfam Rice Event and Oxfam TowerRun. These widely publicized events attract thousands of participants and receive extensive media coverage. Oxfam Trailwalker

Oxfam Trailwalker is the largest hiking fundraising event in Hong Kong, bringing together 100,000 participants since 1986 who raised funds through finishing the challenging 100-km MacLehose Trail.

With the support of 42 sponsoring and supporting companies and organisations, Oxfam Trailwalker 2024 generated widespread publicity through outdoor advertising, media coverage, and social media. The event attracted more than 1,000 teams and a total of over 4,000 dedicated athletes, which included teams of 130 companies and organisations, Oxfam Ambassador Mr. Andy Leung Chiu Fung, artist Ms. Melody Ma, Mr. James Ng and Mr. Alvin Ng Fu Kiu.

Proudly listed as a Mega Event in Hong Kong, the Oxfam Trailwalker 2024 has also been reported more than 200 times by prominent media outlets such as TVB, Ming Pao, HKET, Sing Tao, Oriental Daily, SCMP, HKEJ, HK01, RTHK and Commercial Radio.

Oxfam Rice Event

The annual Oxfam Rice Event in Hong Kong and Macau brings attention to the poverty issue of smallholder farmers. By selling Oxfam rice, the event encourages public donations to support these farmers in overcoming extreme weather conditions and building sustainable livelihoods.

With the support of 7 sponsoring and supporting companies, Oxfam Rice Event 2024 took place in multiple locations across Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories in 20-21, 27-28 April. Nearly 70 rice stalls were set up, and over 2,200 volunteers dedicated their time to assist with the charity sale. The event also receives extensive media coverage and support of renowned artists each year.

In Macau, over 600 volunteers have rallied behind the cause alongside a range of corporate partners. Together, they join forces with Oxfam and The Little Prince to champion climate action and support small-scale farmers.

Oxfam TowerRun

Since its inception in 2014 at the Macau Tower, the Oxfam Tower Run has evolved into a globally recognized sports fundraiser. Drawing participants from Hong Kong, Macao, and beyond, including elite runners from Europe, America, and neighboring Asian countries, this event has garnered international acclaim.

The Oxfam Tower Run 2024 garnered sponsorship and support from 28 companies and organizations. Taking place on October 20, the event drew over 300 athletes who registered to take part. World Champion and World No.1 Mr. Soh Wai Ching, and Macau Trail Runner Ms. Vivi Cheung also graced the occasion to cheer on the participants.

Oxfam Musical Marathon

Oxfam Musical Marathon is an annual fundraising music event. Music enthusiasts and compassionate individuals come together either in person or online to showcase their talents, using music as a tool to support poverty alleviation efforts.

Oxfam Musical Marathon 2023 received sponsorship and support from 10 companies and organization and successfully concluded in July - September. Over a hundred participants graced the stages of the Hong Kong Arts Center or the Oxfam YouTube channel, delivering performances brimming with positive energy. Their effort aimed to support disaster-affected communities experiencing poverty and raise fund for Oxfam's poverty alleviation programs in Hong Kong and around the world.
