Low-income Family Project in Hong Kong
'As you see, we live in this tiny room where I struggle to set space aside for my son and daughter to study and play. In hot and humid summer, more electricity is used particularly for air conditioning. There’re too many electrical appliances in use which often cause a break down. We are worried about potential safety hazards.' – Lan.
Lan does part time jobs for an income. She lives in a subdivided unit of less than 100 square feet with her two children. Lan believes that education is the key to ending poverty but she cannot afford private tutoring for her children.
