Low-income Family Project in Hong Kong
'As you see, we live in this tiny room where I struggle to set space aside for my son and daughter to study and play. In hot and humid summer, more electricity is used particularly for air conditioning. There’re too many electrical appliances in use which often cause a break down. We are worried about potential safety hazards.' – Lan.
Lan does part time jobs for an income. She lives in a subdivided unit of less than 100 square feet with her two children. Lan believes that education is the key to ending poverty but she cannot afford private tutoring for her children.

Left-behind Children Project in Mainland China
‘My father comes home once a year. We normally stay in touch by phone. He always reminds me to work hard on my studies. I miss my parents. I hope that they take good care of themselves.’ Yiyi said.
Yiyi, 10, is a primary three student who lives in a remote village in Gansu. Her father has been working in Guangdong for many years. Yiyi’s grandparents look after her. Her mother abandoned the family some years ago, but Yiyi’s grandparents lied to her saying that her mother is working in another city.

Schoolgirls in refugee settlements and host communities often face challenges related to water and sanitation facilities, including latrines Regrettably, the lack of a girl-friendly learning environment frequently results in extended absences during their menstrual periods.

Collaboration example
Community Project on Improving Grassroots Children’s Learning and Development
The Zim Logistics (HK) Company Limited generously sponsored our 2022-23 project provided simple renovation or installation to 54 families living in sub-divided units and afterschool classes for 59 students, which improved the living and learning environment of these children, promoted their physical and mental health.
The Store Friendly Self Storage Group has also generously donated storage rental services for years, enabling families to temporarily store non-essential items and create more living and learning space.
