Oxfam Hong Kong works on multiple levels to support vulnerable communities in mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change and advocating for policy changes. To raise public awareness about global climate change, we also promote public education through innovative, interactive, and experiential methods. These efforts aim to deepen public understanding of Oxfam's projects and encourage collective action to help vulnerable communities worldwide adapt to climate change.

In October 2023, we released the Case Study on 'Climate Adaptation in Asia - Local Actions of Eight Urban and Rural Communities’, on the eve of 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28). The study analyses how eight vulnerable communities in Asia have been fighting and adapting to a wide range of climate risks and helps increase the international community's understanding of climate adaptation. Following this, in collaboration with humanist photographer Qiu Bi, we organised the 'Know Heaven, Know Earth: Oxfam Hong Kong Climate Change Photography Exhibition' in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Macau on 11- 17 October 2023, 4 - 5 November 2023, and 1 - 31 January 2024, respectively. The exhibitions received support from numerous members of the public, relevant government departments from various regions, social organisations, and foundations. The exhibition showcased the works of photographer Qiu Bi, highlighting the wisdom and courage of climate-vulnerable communities as they face the challenges of climate change through their unique perspective.

From Naxi Stone City Village in Jinsha River Valley to Wangjinzhuang by Taihang Mountains in Hebei, from Jiatang Grassland on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to tea fields in  Liugou Village in Hanzhong City at the southern foot of Qinling Mountains, Shaanxi, and to the remote mountainous areas of Nepal and bustling Hong Kong, visiters experienced the resilience and perseverance of these vulnerable communities in harsh environments through these works.
