Ethnical Consumption x Interactive Theatre
Lok, a young boy who loves chocolate, faces an ethical dilemma: he enjoys affordable, delicious treats, yet knows that much of the chocolate industry is linked to unjust child labour practices in parts of Africa. What choice will he ultimately make?
‘A Story behind the Chocolate’ consists of a theatre performance (45 minutes) and a debriefing session (15 minutes). Students will learn about child labour, globalisation and profit distribution, and think about their own consumer choices and responsibilities.
