Elderly Poverty Indoor Simulation

elderly poverty

Elderly in Poverty x Simulated Experience

Participants will take on the role of an elderly person living in Hong Kong, and may have the chance to wear an ‘age simulation suit’ and other assistive devices. By visiting different social settings — such as welfare organisations, recycling bins, and other everyday locations — they’ll gain insight into how Hong Kong’s economic conditions and social policies affect older people's access to essentials like clothing, food, housing, and transport.
Elderly volunteers will also interact with participants, sharing personal experiences and reflections on their lives. Together, they’ll explore and discuss policies related to ageing and elder care in Hong Kong.
