[Eat Fair Campagin] Hunger-free Action
In Hong Kong, there are still many grassroots families struggling under the affluent appearance of this city. With income that barely supports a basic living and cramped living environment, families can only cook simple dishes with limited choice of food. This leads to imbalanced diet and inadequate nutrition intake, leading to poor health.
In other parts of the world, countless underprivileged groups face even more severe challenges: climate change, natural disasters, war, or food crisis. They worry daily about how to get enough to eat, and are even more concerned about the future of the next generation.
Through Hunger-free Action, students will learn about environmentally and socially responsible dietary practices. We aim at inspiring them to support underprivileged groups facing poverty and hunger by promoting sustainable eating habits within campus, putting the concept of 'Eat Fair' into practice.

Restoring Wells to Rebuild Lives in Somalia’s Impoverished Villages
In the village of Huftiro in Somalia, the well had fallen into disrepair over time. The residents had to travel far away distances to fetch water, all while fearing the risk of falling into the well or being attacked by wild animals.
Oxfam adopted practical and innovative approaches to help restore the well and install a new water supply system. The upgraded system now connects household taps and livestock troughs, providing the entire village with a stable and sufficient water source. This improvement has brought renewed hope to the residents, easing their burden through reliable access to clean water.

Promoting Climate-Resilient Agriculture in Rural Guizhou to Improve Livelihoods
Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, located in southeastern Guizhou Province, is home to the largest population of ethnic minorities in the region. Agriculture is a key source of income for local communities. However, climate change is increasingly affecting traditional farming practices, and residents need to learn how to adapt their livelihoods to reduce its impact.
Through the Climate Adaptation and Sustainable Livelihoods Project for Ethnic Minority Women, Oxfam empowers women in nine villages to help their communities respond to climate change and pursue sustainable development. One of the project’s main goals is to enhance climate resilience in agriculture. This includes helping residents restore the traditional rice–fish–duck symbiotic farming system, introducing climate-adaptive crops, and teaching green pest control techniques. The project not only increases household income and improves quality of life, also reduces agricultural pollution and environmental impact.

Promoting Eco-friendly livelihood Initiatives to Address Food Supply Challenges in Uganda’s Refugee Settlements
In the Omugo Refugee Settlement in Uganda, communities face major challenges including youth unemployment, poor farming practices, and limited access to nutritious food.
Oxfam is implementing an eco-friendly livelihood initiative to support local women and youth by promoting the rearing of Kuroiler chickens— a hardy, dual-purpose breed known for its high egg production and quality meat. This approach helps improve food yields and provides a stable source of income. Kuroiler chickens can be sold or consumed to improve household nutrition and income. The project not only strengthens economic resilience but also contributes to long-term food security for refugee families.
