Oxfam was invited by the Tencent Foundation to participate as one of the beneficiary organizations in this year's "Together for Good" matching fund event. During September 1 to September 10, 2024, donations made to Oxfam's poverty alleviation projects via WeChat Pay HK will be matched by the Tencent Foundation on a 1:1 basis, with Oxfam standing to gain up to HK$500,000 in matching funds. Education Projects
Presently, hundreds of millions of children worldwide lack access to education due to poverty and inequitable resource allocation. Oxfam, established in 1976, has been actively engaged in educational initiatives. Oxfam endeavors to secure educational prospects for marginalized groups such as ethnic minorities and children of migrant workers by tailoring courses to their specific needs, empowering them to break free from poverty through knowledge.
