
Oxfam towerrun
THE OXFAM TOWERRUN, which takes place annually at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre – the tallest building in the city – is a fundraising sports event that Oxfam in Macau has organised since 2014. This year marks the event’s 6th anniversary.
Participants will take up the challenge of running up 1,298 steps from the ground floor of the tower to the adventure deck on the 61st floor. Oxfam aims to raise funds through this event to support its poverty alleviation and humanitarian relief work worldwide.

The event includes individual and team relay challenges. Upon raising the minimum donation amount, participants can take part in the individual challenge, or join the team relay through their company or organisation. Not only can participants enjoy this exciting challenge, they can also raise funds to help the poor around the world become more self-reliant and improve their livelihoods.

All participants are required to collect their runner bib and event tee on the dates.
* Oxfam will contact overseas participants in advance to make arrangements for the collection of the runner’s pack.
* Redemption by friends is allowed.
At a height of 338 metres, Macau Tower is the highest landmark in Macau. The adventure deck on the 61st floor and is 233 metres above ground, offering a bird's-eye view of an area of 55 kilometres.
To experience the exciting Bungy jump and sky-high adventure, participants representing BIR or blue card (The Non-Resident Identification Card) on the event date (13 October, 2019) can enjoy 50% discount! For overseas friends, 20% discount will be offered too!

Oxfam Hong Kong is an international independent development and humanitarian organisation dedicated to fighting poverty and inequity worldwide. Oxfam works with the poor and other partners to carry out humanitarian relief, disaster mitigation, community-based development and advocacy work on the local, national and international levels to ensure an effective and sustainable impact.
Donate $500, you can provide 3 poor smallholder farmer households with sheep to improve their livelihoods.
Donate $800, you can provide 5 poor smallholder farmer households with quality seeds to increase their harvest and income.
Donate $1,200, you can support 4 volunteer assistant teachers’ living expenses for a month in the Mainland.
Donate $1,500, you can provide 1 household in Nepal with a plastic pond and a treadle pump for better irrigation.

Note
1. All participants should be 18 or above.
2. Participants will receive a confirmation email and crowdfunding fundraising page information upon successful completion of online registration.
3. ‘Notes to Runners’ will be sent to all participants by email before the event which will include information about the event day, including registration time, rundown, free baggage storage service, etc.
4. Participants should ensure they are physically fit for the event and sign on the waiver agreement before the race.
5. Participants must comply with the instructions of the Organiser. If participants refuse to comply, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify the participant.
6. The results of the event will be announced on the Oxfam webpage.
7. The event is subject to change without prior notice. The Organiser and its partners reserve the right to make the final decision. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Organiser shall be final and conclusive.
8. To be eligible for the Top Fundraiser Award, participants must submit all donations to Oxfam in Macau on or before 5 October 2019.
9. All donations raised through this event should be sent to Oxfam in full. No refund could be arranged.
10. To reduce administrative costs, an official receipt will only be issued for donations of MOP/HKD100 or above.
