Finished Oxfam Trailwalker 2014 in just 11 hours 56 minutes

(14 November 2014): S03 'Team Columbia S1 - Nepal' (Photo 1) was the first to finish Oxfam Trailwalker 2014, using only 11 hours and 56 minutes to complete the arduous trail from Sai Kung to Yuen Long. Their team members are Uttam Khatri, Bhim Gurung, Ram Bhandari and Kiran Kulung.

The second team to arrive was S51, from the 'Convoy Cosmoboys Team I' (Photo 2), finishing in 12 hours 38 minutes. Their team members include Ng Kwok Wai Anson,Wong Kam Cheong,Chan Wai Tik Kenneth,Chung Kwong On Leo.

The third team to arrive was S58, 'Fire Services Team HKFSD' team (Photo 3), which completed the trail in 12 hours 43 minutes. Their team members TSANG SIU KEUNG, WONG HO CHUNG, WONG KA WAI, CHUNG TAK LUN.

Bernard Chan, Chair of Oxfam Trailwalker Advisory Committee; Stephen Fisher, Director General of Oxfam Hong Kong; Natalie Wu, Vice President of Corporate Citizenship, Asia Pacific, State Street Corporation, the principal sponsor of Oxfam Trailwalker, greeted the teams at the Finish Point and presented them with certificates.

In 2013 and 2012, the first team finished in 10 hours and 58 minutes and 11 hours 12 minutes respectively.

More than 10,000 people participated in Oxfam Trailwalker 2014, including 5,200 walkers, more than 7,000 support team members, staff and volunteers. The Trailwalkers will take up the 100 km challenge in teams of four, aiming to finish within 48 hours. The Start Point is at Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and the Finish Point is at Po Leung Kuk Jockey Club Tai Tong Holiday Camp in Yuen Long. Through the years, Oxfam Trailwalker has become one of the largest fundraising hiking events in Hong Kong and it is held in 16 cities in 10 countries (including Hong Kong) this year.
