Oxfam Trailwalker 2022 – VIRTUALLY TOGETHER

Thank you for always showing the Oxfam Trailwalker (OTW) your unfailing support despite how uncertain the past three years have been.

In addition to actively preparing for the in-person "Oxfam Trailwalker 2022", we are also preparing for ‘Oxfam Trailwalker 2022 – VIRTUALLY TOGETHER’, which will be held from 26 November to 18 December. This year, we have three categories: ‘Tenacious Trailwalkers’, ‘Spirited Trailwalkers’ and ‘Hearty Trailwalkers’. These categories offer teams the choice of splitting the 100 km trail into two to four sections, and tackle them separately. These options also offer more flexibility and is a wonderful opportunity for those who have been too intimidated to join the 100 km walk. Limited quota, join us on or before 11 November to obtain an extra souvenir.

Virtually together!

Remember the time when you started hallucinating after completing stage 4 of the MacLehose Trail during the OTW? How about the glorious moment when you looked back at the trail from the top of Needle Hill? Maybe experiences like these have left you with a love-hate relationship with the MacLehose Trail, but guess what.

It's time to relive them all over again!

Event Period:

26 November to 18 December 2022 (4 weeks)

Route:

The route is approximately 100 km long; it starts at the Pak Tam Chung Snack Stand (near bus stop) in Sai Kung, and covers sections 1 to 9 of the MacLehose Trail, which is about 88 km (M001-M174). After passing Kat Hing Bridge and leaving CP9, the path leaves the MacLehose Trail and travels 5 km along a country trail to north coast of Tai Lam Chung Reservoir. The trail then turns right along a paved road towards Wong Nai Tun/Tai Tong and heads towards the Finish Point at Tai Tong Barbecue Area in Yuen Long.
